Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026.
Starlite TV does not require accounts and does not ask for your name, email or payment details to watch.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage counts. Your browser stores a random identifier in local storage. When you load a page or watch a channel, we receive that identifier, which we immediately convert into a one-way hash that changes every day. We use it to count daily visitors, page views, minutes watched per channel and how many people are watching right now. We do not store IP addresses in our database.
- Ad measurement. We count ad impressions, clicks and completed views per ad, channel and day.
- Playback errors. If a video fails, we record which program failed so we can fix it.
Third parties
- Video files are delivered by the Internet Archive (archive.org), which receives standard request data (such as your IP address) when your browser downloads the video. See archive.org's privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes request data to deliver the site.
- Advertising (Google AdSense). This site uses Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more in Google's advertising policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.
- Advertising (Adsterra). Some banner ads are delivered by Adsterra inside isolated frames. Adsterra and its advertisers may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure those ads, under Adsterra's privacy policy. We do not show network ads on our kids and family channels.
- Tips are handled entirely by PayPal or Ko-fi under their privacy policies.
Starlite TV on Roku
- Anonymous usage counts. The Roku app stores a random identifier on your Roku device. It sends that identifier with the channel you are watching (about once a minute) and with playback errors; our server immediately turns it into a one-way hash that changes every day, exactly as on the website. The app does not ask for or collect your name, email, payment details or Roku account information.
- Settings and bookmarks. Your last channel and the resume point of on-demand titles are kept only on your Roku device.
- Video ads. Ads in the Roku app are served through the Roku Advertising Framework. Roku and its approved advertising and measurement partners may process your device's Roku advertising identifier (RIDA), its "limit ad tracking" setting, what is playing (channel, genre and length) and ad-viewing events, to deliver ads, limit how often you see them and measure them. Starlite TV itself does not use the advertising identifier. All of this is subject to the "Limit ad tracking" choice in your Roku settings (Settings > Privacy > Advertising) and Roku's privacy policy. The app does not request ads on the Saturday Morning and Family Room channels or during on-demand titles.
- Video files are delivered by the Internet Archive and app data by Cloudflare, as described above.
Children
The service is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
