"Elly Starts to School" is episode 4 of season 2 of The Beverly Hillbillies, first broadcast on October 16, 1963 on CBS. It was directed by Richard Whorf and written by Paul Henning & Mark Tuttle.

Mrs. Drysdale (Harriet MacGibbon) recommends Elly for a high-brow finishing school for girls. Elly doesn't want to go and doesn't want to wear a dress. Mrs. Drysdale calls and tells Jed it is OK for Elly to wear her pants and shirt.

The Beverly Hillbillies (CBS, 1962-71) follows Jed Clampett (Buddy Ebsen), a mountaineer who strikes oil and moves his family, Granny (Irene Ryan), daughter Elly May (Donna Douglas) and nephew Jethro (Max Baer Jr.), to a mansion in Beverly Hills, next door to his banker, Milburn Drysdale. It was the top-rated show in America in its first two seasons.
