What is Starlite TV?

Starlite TV is a free streaming service that works like old-fashioned broadcast television. Instead of a catalogue you have to search, there are 11 themed channels running around the clock, each with its own schedule: action, classic cinema, comedy, horror, sci-fi, documentaries, cartoons, westerns, crime and mystery, and family viewing. Pick a channel and you join whatever is already playing, exactly like flipping on a TV.

Everything on the air - 581 movies, cartoons and documentaries - is either in the U.S. public domain (for example films published before 1931, U.S. government films, and films whose copyrights were never renewed) or released under an open licence that allows it. Each title has its own page with upcoming showtimes and the rights evidence we checked; see Content & Rights for how we verify them.

There is no account to create and no subscription. The service is paid for by short ad breaks and optional tips, and it works on phones, tablets, computers and smart-TV browsers. More about Starlite TV →
